Not too long ago, Florence + The Machine‘s Florence Welch hinted at a year-long hiatus between touring and working on a follow-up album. The reason being that Welch finds touring a difficult time in a musician’s career and that it “takes over everything” and means that “nothing gets dealt with in your real life” (via NME.com).

Despite her decision, the artist has revealed that she has constantly been thinking about the next record. Welch has said:

“I’ve been thinking about it a lot. I think I’ve written a whole album in my head.”

Whether Welch takes on that full-year hiatus or not, fans can be reassured that she has great ideas for a follow-up album.
